Quaint area along Woodcleft Canal in Freeport. Tons of restaurants, bars and shops. If you love seafood or you don't there is something here for you! You can even hire and take a short boat ride.

Many restaurants, bars and ice cream parlors among boats that are docked along the canal. A number of the restaurants have their own parking lots, otherwise parking can be expensive. If you enjoy seafood, there are many fine choices of restaurants and clam bars. On...More

Beautiful little area filled with restaurants and clubs ... tough to find parking that's not super expensive (worth it if you'll be down there for hours, not so much of you're just going to walk around for a minute). Delightful little places to explore.

The mile has a wide sidewalk on one side, making it conducive for walking in pairs. The main draw are the bars and restaurants but mostly the waterfront scenery. Living in the area my whole life -I'm kind of disappointed that the mile isn't more...More

We usually come by boat and duck at a restaurant for lunch or dinner and drinks then stroll the mile. It's gotten a bit rowdy on the weekends. We only come midweek now.
