We thought this would be perfect for kids age 9 and 11, but they hated it. We had no clue where to find the diamonds in the rocks. It would have been nice to be able to point to a rock and say, "hit that...More

As an older person this was not my cup of tea. The hammer that you use to hit the rocks is heavy. I did not find it the least bit interesting hitting rocks hoping to find something that you know the mining company is going...More

This is an actual quarry with uneven ground. Be prepared to work hard (but it's fun). Wear sturdy shoes and if you can't tolerate squatting for long periods you might want to bring a pad to sit on. It can get hot during a warm,...More

We had a ball. Weather was perfect, for us. I would suggest good hiking shoes or sneakers. They loan you a hammer with the entrance fee. You can buy buckets but bring your own. If you don't mind hot work, and dirt, you'll do just...More
