We recently took a family trip to Belleayre. We're mostly beginners, so Belleayre was a perfect choice. There are plenty of beginner trails on the bottom half of the mountain, and they range from bunny hill to longer trails that require a lift. That said, there are plenty of more challenging runs from several lifts to the top of the... More

It's a very nice place to ski. Lots of trails open and it's fun. There is an ample amount of trails, whether you're beginner, intermediate, advanced, or expert. We ran into a rude employee however. Jackie by the skilift tickets. She was just very unpleasant and very dismissive; a rude person who slapped her hand down on the sheet of... More

Visited in December 30th, and only about half the trails were open. Even so, lift lines were manageable despite the crowds. Staff is always friendly and lift attendants do a great job of moving people onto the lifts( kudos to the Superchief crew!) Food in base lodge upstairs much improved and such friendly service from two women working as hard... More

We were blessed with fresh powder but the working staff in all departments made the biggest difference, as we found the mountain groomed to perfection! Lift lines were well managed, our food served hot and not to mention very clean bathrooms!

I attended the mogul mash on march 5th 2016 and had nothing but disrespect and complete rudeness from the race promoter from the second I sign up till race time. Granted its mostly now held as a kids race but they still like to take your money the same. Even though I was in line early I was told I... More

Belleayre is the perfect foil for Hunter and Windham - both are busy and just a little bit competitive (read "aggressive" for Hunter). Because Belleayre is not as high and has shorter runs, it tends to be quieter—MUCH quieter—as the NYC crowds head to Hunter and Windham. As a result, although you may have a shorter run, you rarely find... More

This is a great mountain to learn to ski. They have many great priced programs for adults learning to ski or ride. During the week the crowds are very light and you can have the whole mountain practically all to yourself. The trails are wide and well groomed. Food in the lodge leaves a bit to be desired and vegetarian... More

After spending a few weekends at Hunter Mountain, and the last weekend of February we decided to give Belleayre a shot. The distance from NYC is about the same as Hunter, early in the morning you can get there in a little more than two hours. Equipment can be rented at a shop at the beginning of the access road...
