Great square at the heart of Querètaro, very neat and clean, polite people, even street sellers are very gentle. Great place to walk, admire the night life of the city and get a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.

Just went out for a walk in downtown QRO, we decided to go and visit Plaza de Armas, and the famous Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana fountain (builder of the city's aqueduct). There are some of the best restaurants near the plaza and they often have live music. Great.

Over the course of the month that we were here, this public square which contains the famous "dog" fountain was an always exciting and bustling center of activity. The most outstanding feature are the beautifully trimmed Ficus trees that stand to attention while providing luxuriant shade to all visitors.

Located in the heart of downtown... We stayed at a beautiful and affordable B&B (El Serafin), so we were literally less than a half of a block from La Plaza de Las Armas. This plaza made for a very romantic evening stroll (after a fabulous meal at the Indian/Thai restaurant, Bhaji's, only three blocks away). Other activity and music can... More

If you want to spend a lively night on the town or a lazy afternoon people watching, Plaza de Armas, is the place to go! Anchored by restaurant El Meson Chucho del Roto, and the Governor's office, this charming plaza with lovely architecture never disappoints.

One of the prettiest squares in a delightful colonial city. Take it in as part of a stroll around downtown. It only takes a few minutes to walk around so more of a pass-by rather than a major destination. A selection of nice restaurants and outdoor coffee shops allow you linger if you choose .

This place is the one in the city center. I visited during my business trip in Queretaro. The "print" of Spanish it's visible all around in city center. Also statues related to the conquest age as well as most of the buildings in this area. Worth to see.

There is always something going on at Plaza de Armas. This time, we came across the festive sign of 2017 to welcome the upcoming New Year. It's always a good idea to just stop here, sit and get the feeling of old Querétaro seep into your veins. A good place to hunt for coffee, a glass of wine or good... More

This plaza always has tons of people in it! A lot of history here and some excellent restaurants with live music. Very safe at night.
