Our mission: To inspire and promote the arts and to play a pivotal role in the cultural and economic advancement of the region. Hudson Hall fulfills its promise to the community by: - Restoring and preserving its historic building while adapting it to modern needs - Offering a year-round schedule of cultural and educational programs to serve the community - Serving as an important partner in the continued revitalization of downtown Hudson - Hudson Hall offers a year-round schedule of arts and cultural programming in the 1855 former Hudson City Hall which contains New York State’s oldest surviving theatre. Since opening the first restored room in December of 1997, five rooms on the first floor and our magnificent upstairs performance hall have been rehabilitated, and we have presented thousands of cultural and educational programs. Hudson Hall provides free or low-cost cultural offerings every week of the year. Ongoing programs include concerts, readings, lectures, exhibitions, theater and dance presentations, after-school programs, workshops, classes, and large-scale community arts events, like Winter Walk, which celebrated its 20th year in 2016.

Was nothing to see. Needs to be restored. Wasn't what I expected. They had a little history of the place but wasn't really interesting. It ws in and out in 15 minutes. Would not recommend it.

Oldest such place in NYC. In process of renovation after years of abandonment, so be prepared for an old place. But worth the visit to see a performance space that must have been grand in its day.
