The 2 mile trail took me about 2 hrs to do one way. The round trip for the Gorge trail is about 4 hrs for non athletic types and maybe 2.5 - 3 hrs for energetic athletic types. I didn't do the Rim Trail on...More

Was better than what I expected. My husband who is not a big fan of woodsy areas, loved this park. The best park is that you can swim by the waterfall which is gorgeous and refreshing.

2 mile up, 2 miles down. Either way you go. You can go one mile and change it up, cross the bridge and head back down. That would be the equivalent of 2 miles. Different trails to choose from. Important to bring sturdy shoes to...More

Ithaca is full of natural beauty and Robert Treman State Park is one such. It is easily accessible for hiking and worth a visit for an afternoon .

We visited "Treman" about a week ago. We took the gorge trail from lower parking lot all the way up and then the rim trail back. It is a fairly strenuous loop (about 5 miles) - we are in our 60s. We suggest parking at...More

We parked in the upper lot and hiked to Lucifer Falls. The ranger told us to go to the right first. That way you are going down the 250 stairs and not up. This was good advice. Lucifer Falls was pretty spectacular. After we parked...More

A must if you are near Ithaca or Cayuga Lake. Beautiful Falls and the amount of time an effort that was put into the Rim trail with walkways, stairs and walls....absolutely gorgeous!

We went and hiked the Gorge Trail this morning. The swimming spot is stunning. The Gorge Trail is quite pretty and a nice hike. We were glad that we did it.

I believe both were open. We really enjoy the step side of the trail. I think the views of the falls are much prettier. There are quite a few stairs, but there are many places to stop & rest on the way back up if necessary... More

Well we were just there and under the diving board was very deep, well over 8 feet. Shallow end ranged, but fairly quickly went over five feet.

Here's a phone number for a local transportation company: (607) 277-RIDE (That's 277-7433). They list the park as one of their stops but I'm not sure how it works with their schedules. The park is worth the effort to get... More
