We stayed two nights and went on wonderful hikes with Mohamed from Dar Ayour. The hike into the mountains to visit the Berber nomads was an amazing experience.

This is another spectacular Gorge - although it is heavily commercialised with lots and lots of high pressure sales to greet you as you wander through the Gorge along the road. Some of the highest pressure came from boys putting crafts in your hands and...More

We arrived on motorcycles from the non-touristy end of the gorge having ridden its length. Great scenery and landscapes. The end of the gorge is a bit of a tourist trap and has a lot of stalls and stuff selling souvenirs - the real gorge,...More

From the perspective of nature the gorge is spectacular. Definitely worth seeing with fantastical cliffs and rock formations. Thus the five rating. Access is via a one way road which is a dead end just past the gorge so traffic can get congested. As usual...More

Yes. We drove all through Morocco with no problems. We rented a car in Marrakech and then stayed in Tinehar for 2 days to see the gorge and surrounding area. If you are driving, you may want to drive up the gorge to a real... More
