Great way to spend a couple of sunny hours outdoors away from the crowd! Close to the village, this trail is quiet and beautiful.

We love this walk any time of year. We took our dog yesterday and the trail was well packed...did not need snow shows or cross country skis. I did have ski poles which helped a bit but were not necessary. Someone had been there on a bike with "fat" tires..so go and enjoy. Take a photo of trail at the... More

We had a wonderful hike on this trail. It is very well marked, very easy to walk and beautiful. The smell of the outdoors is one of favorites and through the trees, it smells and feels so fresh. We loved it.

The trailhead is just outside the center of the village with a small parking area. There is a sign-in desk with trail maps available. The hiking path is not hilly and fairly flat, but there are many stumps and rocks to walk over. The lakeside trail is very scenic with plentiful views of Lake Placid itself. A leisurely walk will... Off we went with 3 toddlers in backpacks on a short 15 minutes trail, literally to Lake Placid in Full Fall Foliage! Spectacular, even on a cloudy day. We have brought visitors here many times. This is a great hike for families, elderly, or if bad weather is happening throughout the day and you can only squeeze in a quick... More

We chose this trail for its flatness for a trail run, but there's only a couple miles of trails so it got boring fast. A section of it runs along the lake and there is a dam that you can walk out on and view the lake - we did it right at sunrise and enjoyed a beautiful view.

A series of short trails on the edge of Lake Placid lake. The trails lead to Whiteface Landing which is an old logging dam and is a great spot for a picnic.

Beautiful hike! We decided to check it out while waiting for our boat cruise. Very easy hike for anyone of any age and the views from the lake are amazing!

We only did a 20 minute walk here because the sun was setting. Very buggy - don't forget the spray! There were a bunch of clearly marked trails - would have been fun to do more. The entrance is right next to the Quality Inn hotel - looks just like a driveway - have to follow it around not going... More
