It is a long fine sand beach. It is a bit rocky and exposed to the open ocean which makes it a bit unpleasant to bathe in due to the waves. It's neighbouring beach "Praia Piscina" is a must though and Jalé is great as a supporting area as it has a restaurant where you can grab a great fish... More

This surely was a very beautiful beach, however everybody told us not to go into water because it was dangerous due to currents. Nevertheless, to walk around and take pictures, it was great. Luckily, we had a reservation on the Jale Ecolodge where we had praia Jale as our background. So, it was nice to have a glass of wine... More

We didn't stay long because there are so many beautiful beaches on Sao Tome's coastline. This one was beautiful though. Pristine, clean, a lively ocean crashing on the shores. With more time on the holiday I would have pitched a picnic here or something.

if you wanna go to Praia Jale, I recommend you to go with a SUV car as the road is unpaved and if you go during rainy season it can be a problem. The beach is situated in the southwest part of the island, and you can reach it crossing the Rosa of Porto Alegre and follow the only unpaved... More

Well, it depends what you think is Praia Jale. Actually, it is not the beach where the Jale Ecolodge is. (by the way great location to stay!!). It is further. Just park your car next to the little restaurant. And walk through the forest to the direction where you find Praia Jale on google maps. Paradise. NO tourists there. Just... More

Amongst the many beautiful beaches, this one seems very popular and famous but it is not necessarily one of the nicest.

Probably the longest beach I've visited in STP. It's located in the south of the island and has a nice place to eat. Is also good for baths or just being laid in the sand.

We stayed at the ecolodge for three nights. We drove there from the capital in a rented car, which took about 2 hours. It is about 2 kilometres beyond Porto Allegre, along a very bumpy road. The ecolodge consists of three bungalows located on a beach. There is no reception or person living on the property but we were lucky... More
