Praia Jale is a very lovely beach with three simple but comfortable cottages (no hot water or fans, electricity in the evening). Good, simple meals provided. While difficult to reach its isolation is a romantic attraction. It's possible to get public transport to Porto Alegre...More

Praia Jale is probably the most famous of all the turtle beaches in the south of the island. Thus it is a popular place to come at night between Sepetember and April to watch female turtles lay their eggs in the sand. For this one...More

The eco-lodge of the beach doesnt worth the trip, but the beach is nice to see and take some photos. There you can find a wannabe Restaurat (lady that makes and sell fresh grilled fish), but if you want to enjoy the culture and the...More

The Jale "eco" lodge is luckily and lonely located on an unbelievable nice and clean beach in the end of the road around the island. In principle, the place would be ideal for an informal and outstanding eco resort. Water seems to be available, and...More

It is a long fine sand beach. It is a bit rocky and exposed to the open ocean which makes it a bit unpleasant to bathe in due to the waves. It's neighbouring beach "Praia Piscina" is a must though and Jalé is great as...More

This surely was a very beautiful beach, however everybody told us not to go into water because it was dangerous due to currents. Nevertheless, to walk around and take pictures, it was great. Luckily, we had a reservation on the Jale Ecolodge where we had...More

We didn't stay long because there are so many beautiful beaches on Sao Tome's coastline. This one was beautiful though. Pristine, clean, a lively ocean crashing on the shores. With more time on the holiday I would have pitched a picnic here or something.
