Gilbert Lake is a great place for a quick respite or to spend the day. With a lake, picnic areas and hiking trails, it is peaceful and beautiful, clean and friendly. I hope to join the charity trail ride with my horse this year!

A wonderful state park on the northern edge of the Town of Laurens. Picnic areas, lake with swimming beach, boats for rent. Stone cottages built by Civilian Conservation Corps participants during the Great Depression. Open year round, cross country skiing when there is sufficient snow.

Gilbert Lake State park is a relaxing family venue. Beautiful lake for swimming. Nice picnic facilities compete with pavilions, grills and even horseshoe pits. reasonably priced for a NYS State Park. Frisbee Golf course!

This is a hidden gem. Very clean grounds, nice trials, with a large lake and a few ponds in the woods.

This is a beautiful state park with multiple activities available to those who visit. There are many miles of well maintained and varied hiking trails. Each of the trails have interesting features that are very much worth checking out. My personal favorite is the Ice...More

Hi! I just checked the OPT schedule and there are currently no routes that go to Gilbert Lake State Park. My best advice is to gather up a few friends and chip in for gas money for someone to drive. It's about 12 miles... More
