Garden is very well kept, gorgeously over looking a pond surrounded by rolling green hills and various plants. Will definitely come back.

What a delight to spend time here walking around, following hidden paths to discover gorgeous scenery. We spent about two hours meandering around the grounds and walking around the lake. Would love to come back in the spring to see how different the gardens and...More

A long, dirt road takes you to these gardens. Much better that there is no labeling as this is more a meditative place. Its spirit is Asian, its design more Japanese than Western. Spring and Fall are the best times to visit. It's really a...More

Grace and serenity. What a magical place. Try the partially hidden paths for the real jewels into more magical places. Each little side path takes you into a wondrous world. The main path is just to get you to the side paths where the real...More

When in Millbrook, a visit to Innisfree Gardens should not be missed. The grounds are beautiful and the admissions fee was only $8. We walked the 2-mile path around the pond and viewed all the wonderful trees, flowers, rock formations, terraces, waterfalls and bridges. The...More

Beautiful landscaped setting around a lake with surprising views around every corner. Inspired by Asian gardens, we haven't seen anything to compare Innisfree Gardens with. Definitely worth the visit and the entry fee of 8$ per person.

This is a beautiful, serene arrangement of gardens around a lake. Plenty of chairs placed along the trail to encourage one to sit and contemplate. Gorgeous scenery.

I really liked this place. It really is very beautiful and peaceful. We went with a range of ages including kids from 7-15 but we all enjoyed it. Not much to do except enjoy the scenery; ramble about; eat picnics and generally relax - but...More

This place is amazing. I spent over 4 hours there. I recommend exploring all the paths and areas in the back of the main path. Pack a lunch or snack. We are going back in the fall which should be amazing.

We have visited different parks in the Hudson Valley every weekend. Innisfree gardens is by far the most beautiful. The hiking is easy enough for all ages. We found beautiful surprises in unsuspected places. There are plenty of picnic areas, which we'll plan next time....More

Innisfree (Millbrook) is a little northeast of Poughkeepsie, on Rt. 44. About 45 minutes or so (an estimate) NE of Poughkeepsie.
