Your Montauk portfolio is not complete without a picture of this lighthouse and of the view of the cliffs above the ocean. The museum inside the lighthouse is filled with artifacts and historical information that I often find a bit boring, but not so in...More

Was looking forward to our adventure at the Montauk lighthouse after waiting in line for 20 minutes which was no big deal we climbed 137 steps to the top which to me was disappointing because you can only stick your head out of the top...More

If you traveled this far, you need to go see the lighthouse. Great views. $8 to park, $10 a person to see the museum and climb the tower. There's a small grill that serves burgers, sandwiches, and fries.

Just about 15 minutes from the town of Montauk, the lighthouse is in a beautiful location with scenic views of the shore and the sea, interesting light house museum within, you can even walk up the lighthouse, but you better be in good shape. 11$...More

As you can see from the pictures we got there just about dusk. The lighthouse looked spectacular. I don't think you get to see as much as we saw in the way of the light itself and the lighting on the grounds if you come...More

Awesome views and great scenic drive out. If you can handle some height it's definitely worth the climb to the top. Also a ton of great places to eat in the area.

I couldn't put it better than the words of my eight-year old child: "Montauk Point Lighthouse is the perfect trip out for the whole family! The only problem is you have to be tall enough to climb to the top (There is a minimum height...More

In 1973 my cousins lived in one of the apartments in the lighthouse while stationed there in the Coast Guard. Their first child was christened there. Now there is not much changed. Beautiful stop to visit.

Touring Long Island for a few days it made sense to go to the furthest point in the south and visit this iconic lighthouse. And being there it sort of made sense to pay the $11 to climb the 137 steps to the top, which...More

A Definite Must place to visit while in Montauk. The 135 steps to the top is good and the views from the park is amazing.

From memory:- Public parking opposite this venue is $8.00. Entrance to the lighthouse is $10.00 for adults, cheaper rates for children & I think senior citizens/pensioners. Admission fee includes climbing the tower to the... More
