It was a wonderful adventure learning about the history of Montauk. The museum gave history facts that my husband and I were not aware of it. It was very interesting. A magical feeling to know you are at the tip of Long Island.

If your in Montauk, you have to visit the historic Montauk Lighthouse. Interesting...But, to get your money's worth, be sure and go early in the day. Parking charge and admission fees are way out of line for what you get.

Well worth the ride to get there and its a pretty straight forward route. Car park was free on the day we went but you pay 8 dollars at weekend and holidays. The lighthouse was closed but it would have been 11 dollars to enter,...More

I’m not sure what the appeal of this landmark is. It’s a lighthouse that the day we went was closed to the public and had a huge fence around it. Not really much to see here except a crowded short beach that seems to be...More

Love this place! We come out every year and always enjoy and learn something new. Walking around, talking to people and staff. Hearing their stories. Take a walk down to the water and sit, so serene and peaceful. Climb to the top if you can!...More

Very pretty area with easy hiking trails leading to the oceans edge. A little disappointed that you have to pay to get in the lighthouse.

The light house is the highpoint of you visit to Montauk State Park. Coastal views from both the base of the lighthouse and the top are outstanding. In season there is a bus available from Montauk. Off season you will need to drive or take...More

We understand that to enter the lighthouse, there would be a fee but now you have to pay a fee before you can even get close to the lighthouse to take a picture. Very disappointed.

From memory:- Public parking opposite this venue is $8.00. Entrance to the lighthouse is $10.00 for adults, cheaper rates for children & I think senior citizens/pensioners. Admission fee includes climbing the tower to the... More

I did see several dogs leashed on the property. I do believe they can go in the lighthouse though
