This is a very dis-organized bridge. For some stupid reason they put the expass lanes in the middle, not to one side or the other. At busy times, when traffic backs up, you can't get to the ezpass lanes which just slows everything down. In...More

This Bridge has been here since the Ferry was discontinued. Still pay a toll but only one way. Lots of improvement done & no waiting at Toll booth unless its a holiday. Still doesn't cost as much as other bridges.

It is great to walk or bike across the span. The passing traffic can be very loud but the view of our majestic Hudson River and surrounding cliffs, boats, island etc are worth a little noise. In October the leaves will be changing and the...More

While driving on I-84, I crossed the Hudson River on this bridge. What can I say, the bridge did keep us from driving into the river.

I have crossed this bridge 10,000 times. It opened in the early 1960s. Prior to that event, the crossing was made via car ferry which I very much miss to this day. If you are driving across for the first time, I do not recommend...More

The bridge is a life line from Orange to Dutchess and points East. Commuters use - both those heading to NYC and Mass Pike.

Most times the traffic on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge flows fine now that most of the construction is over.

They have manned toll collectors. I have a ez pass which I don't stop. You shouldn't have any problems, anyway who today carries change? What happens if your credit card or debit card you misplaced? It's better to have some... More
