Once you've seen the cascading waters of Niagara, which are equally as beautiful from either side of the border, try this trail out. You'll get an amazing view, up close sounds and smells of the water and foliage, and no people noise. The throngs of visitors from all over the world apparently don't much like to hike, so this trail... More

I took my dog for a walk down the trail in mid/late October knowing that the leaves were just about done. It was the best walk that we have been on all summer! I take Monday's off during the summer and am always looking for someplace to take her to explore. I will be going back here ALOT next year.... More

My wife and I and another couple, all of us in our 50s and 60s, hiked the Niagara Gorge Trail in November. We were very pleased with the trail. It was a beautiful, peaceful setting. It wasn't a difficult hike, but it was a little challenging in spots, especially over the rocky downward trail covered in leaves. When we got... More

One mistake we see tourist make is not having the proper footwear or clothing on the trail. Although the area is well travelled, there are many slippery sections and uneven ground. Bring some water to drink and please take your garbage out with you to allow other to enjoy their time there.

We did not plan this part of the trip but decided to take a ride before heading home and this was an experience I will surely never forget. Worth the short drive from the falls.

Took the elevator down to the river, found the trail sign. It is a mile long hike. Very strenuous so make sure you have good shoes on. Beautiful views of the river and the countryside.

I absolutely love this trail. Just to warn those interested it is a 3 out of 5 trail as it does get steep and rocky. But it is a must as the scenery is breathtaking and once you get down to the rapids it is amazing to see how blue the water is. I recommend this trail to family and... More

I've been going here since I was a small child. We have loved walking the Niagara gorge trail for many reasons; the beauty and history among them. Years ago this was a little known trail, but now I see a bunch of people climbing the stairs! Be warned that it can be dangerous, so I wouldn't bring little kids. But... More

We chose the easy trail which is the Great Gorge Scenic Trail, which is trail #4. It starts to the side of the Discovery Center building on Robert Moses Parkway. The only kind of walking I do is on level city concrete. I was a bit hesitant to even try this trail, but it really is an easy trail. There... More
