It is definitely worth a visit. The locals are all friendly. Not lots to do but a couple of nice places to eat and buy a few souvenirs. We walk from our hotel and got a cab back, lots around.

Ponte Praia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. It rivals the Caribbean the sea is gorgeous to swim in.

I like walking on the beach :) Nice sand and refreshing water. Be careful of the water near the pier, the water is strong.

Water is paradise and has a good atmosphere. A bit windy but it's ok, otherwise you will burn! The wind helps to create a good environment for sports like kite surf and windsurf.

There is a specific bay for snorkelling at the island of Sal which I wish we'd of had a longer stop at. Also snorkelling off the pier at Santa Maria would be fine but the sea itself was at times very rough. The resort (Sol... More
