We did the 27 km trip ending beyond Beynac. It was a beautiful day with temperatures above 70 F. They give you plenty of time for stopping along the way for lunch and breaks. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The only negative was the pamphlet clearly showed visa was accepted but they would only take cash on the day... More

If you are staying in the area, this is worth a try. Easy to park, staff adequate, reasonable price. The boat trip itself was actually good fun, quite a good work out but not too strenuous. We particularly enjoyed seeing the fish in the water and stopping for a picnic lunch and a swim. You need to time it to... More

This is a super way for you to interact with the French if you are a tourist because they are not very approachable and you also get to see some wonderful scenery. The view from the river is very different from what is seen on land and you can savour the scenery much more. You decide how long you want... More

The lovely young man here told us which day was the quietest. We came that day and were given very clear and precise instructions and set on our way after safety talk. What a day! Blue skies crystal clear water. Pulled the canoe up on a "beach" and walked up into one of the little townships carved into the Rock... More

We enjoyed a sunny, warm, mid-October day paddling the Dordogne for 2+ hours. Canoes Loisirs were very accommodating to our request. We called the same morning that we wanted to paddle. They picked us up with their van at our take-out, just past Beynac. They were very professional, had good equipment for any level of paddler, and prices were reasonable.... More

Period Adventure et Loisirs /Copeyre canoes - not sure why they have two names but ewe sure enjoyed our paddle from Vitrac to Beynac. EVen stopped to take a quick dip in the cold clear Dordogne River! Beautiful scenery, easy paddling. Get there , get the canoe, then they bring you back by van. We stopped for lunch in La... More

After spending too long touring other places we didn't arrive to this spot until a bit after 3pm. They quickly got us and a canoe ready and sent us down the river. The weather was amazing and the water so clear. The views are beautiful along the way. We made it to the pick up point at 6pm with 15... More

We did the 16km trip from Vitrac to Beynac, in two Canadian canoes. It was hard work, mostly because the children were paddling in the wrong direction, but great fun. The views en route were tremendous. The hire company were very well organised, we did not have to queue at all to get the canoe (did not pre-order) or get... More

Easy to book by phone with good easy instructions on what to expect and where the meeting point is . We chose to do 5 bridges from Vitrac . But I would recommend 4 from Vitrac as the last leg involves more paddling, the river is less beautiful and scenic and their is a small increase in rubbish and pollution... More

Wanted to canoe down the Dordogne for a few years now and I wasn't disappointed at all. What a wonderful day out. We started at Vitrac where you will find loads of free parking at the start point of Canoe Loisirs which is at Pont de Vitrac next to the river and the bridge. I think from parking to getting...
