We stayed in a hotel in Oia, right above Amoudi Bay. To get there, one must walk a 200+ meters down a very steep stairwell that could be dangerous so proper footwear is recommended over flip flops and sandals. Definitely no high heels. During daylight,...More

My boyfriend and I came here a lot during our stay in Santorini, we never did see the sunset from Oia (it was really busy all the time) so we didn't bother. I'm glad we didn't because the sunset is incredible from anywhere really. Really...More

Amoudi Bay is located at the bottom of the cliffs down from Oia main street. It can be reached by foot down a steep cobbled zig-zagging path, by cable car or by riding a donkey or mule. At the bottom of the cliff is Amoudi...More

Ita a small port from where one can climb up to Oia town. Few mice restaurants on the beach and a small rocky beach. Volcano Island trip boats drops one over here from where on has to climb or take pony to go upto Oia

Walked down at Sunset. The cliffs glow red in the setting sun. The rays of the setting sun turn the houses and windmill and white houses orange. The bay sits prettily at the bottom. Fresh seafood awaits. A must visit when in Oia. You can...More

We got a beautiful view of Amoudi Bay from our cruise ship, and another from the Byzantine Castle Ruins. I wish we had time to continue all the way down the path to the Bay. It looks like a picturesque spot to have dinner and...More

It takes a few minutes to walk down the steps from Oia to reach Amoudi Bay, but it is worth the trip to get close to the water and see a different view of the caldera. There are several seafood restaurants there and worth having...More

Amoudi bay is beautiful. We went there to eat at a popular restaurant and the view is gorgeous. I would suggest driving there instead of descending the hundreds of steps from the top of the hill.

The island is Santorini and Amoudi Bay is on the Oia side of the island. We stayed on the opposite side of the island (Perissa) and it was less than an hour from one end to the other.
