This is great to visit after you visit the Akrotiri site. The museum is well done and gets better as you go through. The last 3 exhbits make it a top notch visit.

Being the equivalent of the 'Switzerland' of the Aegean in its heyday the museum holds a fascinating glimpse into the past. Not to be missed

This is a must do when in Santorini - specially if its a bit rainy. There is a really cute restaurant by the water just a skip and a hope away.

The museum is located in the center of Fira. Parking space is sparse. The museum shows a lot of the very ancient history of Fira from the Bronze Age which is really interesting. Little note: Posing for photos is not allowed.:-)

The museum is not big, but very well done and definitely worth to visit if you have enough time on Santorini. Exposition is interesting with good signs.

Well worth the trip to see. It is possible to get in for free on national holidays so keep an eye on their web site. They allow photos so snap away to your hearts content. most things are labelled which is quite rare in Santorini. There is no gift shop so photos are almost essential. I saw Akrotiri before the... Great to see so many of the artifacts from Akrotiri. The way it is arranged to follow a timeline is really helpful.

This is a small but excellant museum featuring Minoean excavations from Akrotiri, from over 4000 years ago. Collection of frescos from Akrotiri is breathtaking. Must see !

I've learned about this before in Interior Architecture Program's Art History class. Was immediately in love with this civilization and fascinated by their arts and cultural development. So I was beyond ecstatic and thrilled to talk through this tour and see everything in person. In my opinion, this is a dream come true.
