Santa's Workshop opened in 1949 and is one of the original Theme Parks. Today it is the oldest operating Theme Park in the United States. Santa's Workshop has remained true to its original design to allow children of all ages to use the facility, cast and the child's own imagination to create the fantasy of Santa's Workshop. You will not find large amusement rides or high tech gagdits, but you will visit with Santa, pet and feed his live Reindeer Team, play with all of Santa's Helpers and even touch the frozen North Pole. Turn the clock back to when you were a child, and your imgaination and spirit of Christmas where all you needed to help make your fantasy come true.

We were staying in Lake Placid the last week in August and looking for some fun things to do. I came across Santa's Village which was about 30 minutes away from our Hotel. I would just say make sure your kids are young. There were a couple of rides my 7 year old was too tall to ride. Kids enjoyed... More

Visited with friends over thanksgiving weekend, this place is great! Its kind of dated but thats what gives it such unique appeal! Its outdoors so you need to dress warm but there are little houses and shops to go in and warm up or get some hot chocolate and cookies. They have santa's house where you can get your pic... More

If you want to take children to a place that they will never forget, this is it. As adults we might expect more as this is not a Six Flags park but it makes up for it with the nostalgic theme, Yes this park need some upgrading but the children don't notice as they are so excited to see where... Our family of 11 arrived about noon on the last opening day. It was cold and very icy. The steps and entrance was not shoveled or salted for safety. The admission is $22.99 for 2 and up. It seems steep since even an our old couldn't ride some of the rides. The place was in nice condition with the characters... More

We had a good time and we love seeing our kids and the other kids having so much fun (our kids are 5 and under). The place is built at the foot of Whiteface Mountain, so you go up and down the hills to go from 1 ride to another. There was fresh snow when we went, so it really... More

Didn't really know what to expect from their website. Very quaint and cool for those in the holiday spirit. It was lightly snowing the day we visited so it just added to the fun. I would definitely not go here with the expectation of rides as they are for only those children under 48 inches and maybe a total of... More

It was nice for the little ones, but it is really hard to spend 4 hrs in this amusement. Also,we feel that staying 25 minutes from the park, in Lake Placid was actually the smart way to go. There was a lot more things to do and more and better places to eat. And cheaper. You don't really get anything... More

I was a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews here, as this was almost a four hour trip from home, but we decided to give it a try. All of the workers were perfectly friendly and pleasant. I can't tell you how many times they said Merry Christmas to us, and they talked to us, and helped our kids... More

A small but enjoyable place for the family to enjoy Christmas. A bit pricey for a small place but after your in you see the smiles on your children's face it's all worth it .
