When you aren't even allowed to eat a sandwich on the beach (seriously, there is a "no food on the beach"), and are only allowed to drink water from a clear bottle, there is something seriously wrong with a beach and the petty little tyrants...More

Having never been to FI, I had high expectations. It was all the hype and more yet being such a laid bac, safe, pretend fairy tale like place. I felt like I was in the Truman Show as it did not seem like the real...More

The biggest town on Fire island is a fun and beautiful place to visit. Many shops & restaurants. Afew blocks and you're in the ocean. Weekends get a little too busy with the bars though.

This is a busy beach since a lot of ferry travelers take Day trips. The town has done cute shops, bars and restaurants. The bayside is the perfect place to watch the sunset.

If you're taking the kids somewhere, Ocean Beach might be fun for them. They can run around. There are lots of ice cream and sweets shops. There are no cars. It's not really picturesque. If you're not too crazy about that scene there are lots...More
