I have taken my grandchildren here several times. They love to feed the trout that aggressively go for the fish food when you throw it in. Fish food is available from a bubblegum-like machine, but I prefer to buy mine from Tractor Supply and bring...More

Tip: Be sure to bring quarters and either a bag or cup to buy fish food. My family and I went there planning to spend 15 minutes at the fish hatchery and 45 minutes at the playground in the park that we heard about from...More

Located within Powder Mill Park, the Hatchery offers a wonderful opportunity for kids to see trout fingerlings and good sized trout as they get ready to be moved into area streams and lakes.

This is a very popular attraction. I personally just don't get the fun in watching trout swim in a small pool but the youngsters seem to delight so it is a great place to take small fry. And you can purchase fish food to feed...More

Took my 5 and 3 year old grandkids there one morning. They were thrilled feeding the fish. Just bring quarters to buy fish food from the machines. This will be a regular trip this summer.

My young daugher (and I) really enjoy this fish hatchery. This is a gem in Powder Mills Park. She loves to feed the trout, even more when they splash her.
