We stopped in Poughkeepsie to see the walkway. Walkway was very good, great views. Also took the elevator down to the park below. Only issue we had was where to park. On weekends there is parking below the walkway a short walk from the elevator....More

The walkway is very nice and kept very clean. Was just there last night for an evening stroll. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at depending when you go but is worth the trip.

Walking on the old rail road tracks above the ever moving Hudson River is a memorable experience. I would suggest you enter and leave from the Poughkeepsie side of the walk way.

I believe they told us no food during the winter. The gift shops on either end are only open in good weather in the winter, depends on if a volunteers want to be there.
