I enjoy shopping at the public market on Saturday mornings. There is always a huge selection of fruit, vegetables. You can find anything here. I like to stop at the empanda stand for breakfast which is good. It is always packed there and sometimes takes a bit to get your food. Parking can be hard depending on what time of... More

We enjoy shopping at the public market. Cheese, flowers, plants, vegetables, fruits, clothing, and prepared foods make it a good start to weekend shopping. Some things are less expensive, like bulk fruits and vegetables, but some things are pricey, like prepared foods and cheese and plants. Look at everything before you buy if you are price conscious. Haggling is not... More

Ever expanding public market with covered stalls and also a few buildings. Several small restaurants around. Tremendous assortment of food items plus clothes and other articles. Great prices and fresh items. Loved Doug's donuts and Italian sausage at Scotts

Rochester's City-run Public Market has served the community since 1905. It's a great place to stroll through long lines of vendors. Bargains abound there Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 52 weeks a year. Vendors - over 300 on Saturdays, offer fresh produce, ethnic delicacies, specialty items, general merchandise, and more. Flanking the vendors are cafés, food stands, coffee shops, florists, specialty... More

The earlier you go the better results you'll have. The market fills up fast with Rochester locals and visitors alike. It is filled with fresh local products as well as quality small restaurants. A great stop for breakfast/lunch and some shopping.

The public market used to be farmers peddling their produce. Now, most of it is purchased and resold. You have to be careful or you will get over ripened produce! Price for products is also higher than it used to be. Quality of products is average. You have to look for the deals. Construction has taken a toll. I still... More

Love Scotts at the public market for their breakfast sandwich which is AMAZINGLY delicious. Fresh local farmer produce at lower prices than anywhere else and great people watching. The cheese store is fascinating and you can taste the cheeses before purchasing. It is a fun trip, but in the winter BUNDLE up while shopping the outdoor market, although I think... More

Love our Farmers Market!! Many improvements have been made over the years and in 2010, it was voted America's Favorite Farmers Market. Fresh produce, flowers, tasty treats, wines, plants, casual clothes and kitchen tools abound. Saturday is busy and fun. It's less crowded on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What else isn't to love? Fresh produce from local farms, friendly people at every station, and great prices. I love getting my produce here - and you can guarantee they're farm fresh! Make sure to stop by the Amish table as well- their home baked goods are to die for. Definitely check the market out!
