Very select in their pieces, and often have only 1 per artist. Be sure to go up to the second floor for the exhibits since there are some beautiful terra cotta pieces.

This is not a huge museum but it is very fine. The permanent collection ranges from Egyptian to medieval to contemporary. A substantial overview of Western art, primarily but it did include some Asian art as well. The extended labels were very interesting and added...More

Founded as art gallery for U. of Rochester. Fine America collection from 18th to 21st century. Also good sampling of other cultures and eras on second floor. Well worth a visit when in Rochester. Easy parking, beautiful neighborhood.

Nice Art Gallery! It flows fairly easy. Some Cool peices. Took about 2 hours too walk through. They also had a garage sale going on in the other side of the building so that was a nice surprise.

This gallery was way more impressive than I initially expected it to be. The collection included some quite famous artists. A lot of art by women which is unusual in most art galleries!

The residents of Rochester (and surrounding) have a fine taste for art (and craft) as evidenced in the MAG collection and associated gift shop.

All the exhibits are great. The exhibits are well worth the price of admission. I was so impressed with my most recent visit that I signed up for a membership and I encourage others to do so as well.

Dear Meg@MAG, This query might have come to me by mistake since TPK31 is not my handle. I'm a great fan of MAG, and when I reviewed it on Tripadvisor I gave it all the high marks it deserves. Good work, MAG. Frank
