We visited this historic landmark theater in downtown Rochester again this year for our daughter's dance recital. It is a beautiful theater and structure inside, with all the high vaulted ceilings and carved frescoes in the wall and ceilings. (Although we could not see the...More

While the venue itself is delightful and a treat for theater-goers, and the staff seem lovely, their policy on dealing with disruptive audience members needs review. The following happened during a Friday night performance of Wicked in 2017. A group of women in the center...More

I've seen a number of shows at the Auditorium Theater. Yes, it's old (I prefer classic), and there's is a lot of history here. I've found the Loges to have excellent sound quality and a perfect view of the stage.

The 4-manual 23-rank Wurlitzer organ was formerly housed in the RKO Palace in Rochester. Concerts are held September through June through the Rochester Theater Organ Society. The...More

This is an old-style theater that has probably seen better days, but is still nice to have in a city this size anyway. It's got lots of beautiful old fresco-style wall art, the high balconies, and thickly=carpeted hallways. The kids love performing (dance recitals) in...More

My wife and I went to see Dirty Dancing last week and while the show was entertaining enough I couldn't get completely into it due to the extremely tight fit seating. With my back firmly against my seat, my knees were still pushing into the...More
