Nice - worthwhile

The food and beer are very good. Nothing outstanding but they seem to be trying to do a good job and that's something. The view is really great and the vibe is fun. We waited to take a tour and that never happened. The bar staff in the micro brew area seemed apathetic and although we bought beer and told... More

Nice Genny craft selection, & The food is quite good… Especially the pretzels. Love the view of the falls. Only knock I have is the staff is often inattentive and pretty slow. Sometimes the music there is not all that great either.

We walked from our hotel to grab a bite and a pint. The entry has a store with gear and historical info. We didn't do a tour but went upstairs for dinner and a beer. We were told it was a 45 minute wait to sit outside on the patio so we opted for inside. It was noisy probably due... More

The Visitor Center/Company Store has interesting historical displays going back to the brewery's origin. There is a good selection of apparel and other related items for purchase. A small stand alone brewery is at the rear where a tour would explain the brewing process. There is a tasting bar here and a full service restaurant on the second floor. There... More

Went to Genesee on a Friday evening with friends from the US, Germany, and France. We each ordered beers and food and all truly enjoyed our selections. Our server was awesome, taking time to answer questions and explain things in spite of being quite busy. We sat at the window that overlooks the High Falls and really enjoyed the view.... More

Rode bicycles here from U of R campus, along Genesee River thru High Falls , and across the bridge ,,,which leads to this little gem. Did not do the tour but spent some time in the tasting area and gift shop. Fun photo booth which you can take your photo and send to your e-mail. Sat at the outdoor terrace... More

went with six couples and did the tasting first. I myself am not a beer drinker but took part with the group anyways! Lots to walk around and see before you actually sit down to eat. Definitely fun thing to do on a Saturday with some friends. The view of the falls are great and this time or year is... More

It is an interesting part of Rochester history but I was disappointed. The bar food was too greasy, beers good, but atmosphere was not great. I went once and will not return.

We did not do the TOUR, but did a sampling, and it was really good! Pours were larger than expected, atmosphere is very clean and nice, and it was not at all pretentious (like some other tastings have been at other places). Gift shop is really big, nice view outside. Free parking (huge lot). Recommended. :)

This Review for Tour Only: Tour on the hour is a look at Genesee's experimental brewery--20 bbl capacity. Pic Uploaded. Brewery output is sold in the brew house restaurant. Last tour 8pm. The actual brewery is off limits to the public. At end of tour, offered four few-oz pours of your choosing for $2--well done. Personal favorite was the Genesee... More
