Stopped a few minutes at the Adirondack Carousel while we waited for the other activities that were planned at Saranac Lake. Would not have stopped just for this but was still nice.

Carvings of animals beautiful, the operator came around and told each person about the animal they were riding on. Very nice touch.

We came to visit the carousel in the year before our wedding (2011), while we were touring the area looking for venues. We visited it out of season, and had a lovely time chatting to the guys who maintain and run it. We loved the place so much our parents bought us a 'brick' in the memorial walk to commemorate... It is worth going to see. Each animal is carved to look like an animal that is native to the region.

Beautiful place. Well worth the visit with kids of all ages. A great complementary attraction to the ADK Scenic RR and to Saranac Lake.

What artistry! Really enjoyed it probably even more than my grandson! Each animal is a work of art and you can't go wrong for the cost.

THis is a wonderful built Carousel of Adirondack species. I rode Buck the Frog. THe volunteers are great at explaining how the Carousel came about. Don't forget to pass thru Saranac without a ride on the Carousel.

The carousel is great. I am sure this attraction would appeal to people with small children. We were killing some time before our rail ride.

We were in Saranac Lake for the Rail Explorers rail bike tour and were told about the carousel while we were waiting for our guided adventure. The gentleman operating the ride was a pleasure to chat with. Very friendly. An inexpensive way to relive some history and have a low thrill adventure.
