What a delightful visit! My mother and I stopped in to try the wines. We had recently enjoyed a bottle of their Commodore Merlot at the North Fork Table restaurant in Southold and wanted to know more about where this superb wine was produced. We were greeting warmly by Ros and her lovely daughter. We absolutely loved the Chardonnay and... More

Always a treat to stop in at The Old Field. Outstanding wines and excellent. Thanks, Ryan for the interesting conversation. A definite must stop when in Southold.

We've been here several times. The wine is good, the owner is one of a kind and the experience exceptional. The place is off the beaten path of many of the wineries. It is actually for those who really appreciate what the real wine growers do as a passion... not as a 'drunken stop on a wine tour' . Not... More

Old Field was the absolute antithesis of the other wineries we visited in the area. This place is tiny, basic, not fancy at all, and a bit rough around the edges. It is totally laid back and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We roamed the grounds and relaxed by the pond and had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately,... More

This family owned vineyard is a very personal experience. From tasting wines in the converted hen house to sitting outside by a tree or down by the pond with the huge tulip tree, the experience is very peaceful. I think their wines are very good an d I have plans to join their wine club.

This is a small, family owned and run vinery and vineyard. Casual but classy. Very peaceful setting with tables and chairs amongst large trees. The wine is of above average quality and so it's a very nice place to spend an hour or two on a weekend.

The most quaint tasting room you will find in Long Island. It's a cozy shed transformed into 2 small seating areas. Wood stove keeps you cozy, lit bunches of grapes and white lights adds to the charm of this tasting room. Sauvignon bland is delicious. You will most likely meet the daughter and grand-daughter of the winemaker in the tasting... More

My wife and I had an unscheduled stop here and we couldn't be happier to have found this place. Very low key, rustic and family friendly. We loved the farm house vibe. The wines were great especially the Cab Franc and Merlot. There is a picnic area which would be great for kids. You're much better off coming here for... More

Skip the pretentious upscale vineyards nearby, with cheese plates priced like dinners, for a rustic, truly enjoyable wine-farm experience. The wine is very good, if not great, and we bought two bottles to have with our lunch of fresh bread, cheese and meats purchased in a local deli. The setting is farmhouse yard, with picnic tables spread out in the... More

Loved the owners of this vineyard. They were extremely friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with them during our tasting. The wine was delicious! We will return.
