If you are planning to visit Staten Island with a purpose of finding great historical artifacts, don't. It is a great place for a picture opportunity. View of VNB from here is awesome.

A lot of people take the Staten Island ferry from Manhattan and then just turn right back around. It was worthwhile to take this side trip to Fort Wadsworth before returning to Manhattan. Unfortunately we were there a time that the visitor center is closed, so we did not get a guided tour and also did not get into the... More

Amazing place, great place to satisfy that photograph in you. make sure you take one of the different tours with park rangers. The best one is the one inside the forth at night with lanterns you can find the schedule on their Web site and also don't forget to visit forth Tompkins that's just under the bridge.

The sights at the old fort are quite nice, but it's when you look out over the Narrows and see the different views of the Verrazano Bridge, Brooklyn and the City that you realize this is truly a special place to visit

This is a perfect place to go if you want to see NYC from a distance. The Verrazano bridge is so beautiful over the water and all the ships in the distance.

Great area to walk or bike and the view of the bridge is exceptional, especially in the evening. The path also brings you to the South Beach boardwalk.

Beautiful and serene. Very tranquil area. Amazing history in and around the area. While parking is limited, the walk from wherever you do park will be worth it.

Nice historic area. The fort was impressive but quiet and tranquil along the Hudson River. Nice walk around and under Verazano Bridge.

Fortwadsworth is a beautiful gem that is located underneath the Verrazano Bridge. Beautiful grounds to walk on with a piece of NYC history that is a few hundred years old. A fantastic place to take exclusive photos of gorgeous views, great place to fish, or just even a great place to unwind after a long day of work.
