The decor is reminiscent of an opera house, but there is one screen so that you can watch a movie. If you just wanted to go watch a movie, it is a nice sufficient setting to do such.

Friday night flick with the wife. I love the historic old building and the wurlitzer organ is a muss listen at lease once. Shame not too many people were in attendance. Chairs arent the most comfortable but they are old and historic, so its a trade off. If you see a very long film, your back will feel it!

We found an advertisement offering two very old silent movies, Sherlock Jr, starring Buster Keaton, and Sunset for $2 per person. How can one miss a real bargain opportunity to see an old double feature inside a beautiful old theater. Upon arriving at the theater, we waited until staff opened up the doors. Once inside, the friendly, helpful staff directed... More

Very old theatre which has some cool decor but the accoustics and seats need updating. Prices are very good

I spent a lot of time at The Lafayette Theatre as a small child and now at 55 I still love going back to the old classic theatre with its old classic organ playing on Saturday nights..always a fun time

We love going to the movies at the Galaxy. They sometimes have a piano player before the movie and the Piano is like 100 years old and sounds so great. We like going there because we feel like we are helping to preserve the history of Suffern.

The Benmoche family (former chairman of Met Life and AIG) is a local and owns this theater. They just renovated the old Broadway type theater and it is beautiful. There is a classic music organ in the balcony and there are concerts before the Saturday night show that are wonderful. It is an old fashioned theater that is just charming.... More

This is classic old movie theatre with only one movie showing at a time, huge amount of seating, old organ and balconies and tiers, like a broadway style. Parking limited, but not busy there so it has not been an issue. Love this place.

Fabulous old theater. Pricing is better than the new theaters. Staff is friendly. Seats need a little work.

Whenever we go to the movies, this theater is not one that I'd rush to. The building is a landmark building but in need of a serious updating with the sound system. I do love the architecture of the inside. It transports you to a time gone by with the balcony that holds an actual organ that gets played occasionally... More
