Ice skating each winter in the space where the canal boats used to arrive in the days of the Erie Canal. Frequent festivals, farmers markets and such... Beautiful monuments.

In the middle of downtown. Wasn't extremely busy. Holds a Soldiers and Sailors Monument which honors Onondaga County Civil War Veterans. The monument stands next to a large water feature. Also holds the Jerry Rescue Monument which honors a fugitive slave. Also a nice monument.

Clinton Square is adjacent to downtown Syracuse and fills the space once occupied by the Erie Canal and the buildings that housed canal-related businesses. If you are in downtown Syracuse anyway, it's a nice place for a brief walk around, but not somewhere you'd make...More
