Good day ski trip for first time skiing

This ski facility is small but close to NYC and good for first time skiers. The facility makes snow, has rentals, and has a cafeteria. There is a lodge at the bottom of the hill... read more

This is where I first learned how to ski when I was 2 years old. Every weekend the ski instructors teach people of all ages to ski for free. The trails are somewhat easy more for practice trails. They have 2 ski lifts running almost all the time. Bunny hills and magic carpet. Ski and equipment rentals with lockers The... More

Went snow-tubing, first time for all of us. Place was great, Adults and kids had fun. Snow-tube downhill, ride the conveyor belt uphill. Only thing to watch out for are the sudden stops of the conveyor belts which give you a jolt the first times. Staff is super-friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

I visited in 2015, but I waited until I visited other ski resorts in the area before writing this review. The selling points for this place are proximity to NYC and decent slopes for beginners. Unfortunately it gets horribly overcrowded on the weekends. We arrived fairly early, but spend over one hour between tickets and rental. After that, I found... More

The skiing is great, It is good for beginners to experts. It has a good food court. The only bad thing is the rental area. It gets very crowed and has a long wait, so rent for the day at Mount Everest or Sports Authority and bring your own to save time.

Tubing area is dangerous. The end of the run is off an incline. We had an accident this past weekend and it could have led to a serious injury. More staff is needed at the bottom of the run. Also, all of the runs are exactly the same so after two hours it becomes boring. It would be great if... More

I took my daughter here for a full day for her first time on skis. She did the free beginner, group lesson followed by the one hour individual lesson. Both instructors were friendly, helpful and positive. The individual lesson helped her get used to the chair lift and brought her down the mountain a few times with all the basics... More

Small mountain, looks like it's family owned, reasonable prices and a free one hour lesson for beginners No as as crowded as most ski resorts near NYC, but it is very small

We skied here on a Saturday morning and while it was very busy (lots of kids learning to ski and also they have ski teams) they definitely had lots of staff and instructors available. The car park is close to the slopes and large enough to accommodate everyone. If you are starting here from scratch and need pass/lessons/gear then make... More

These people are horrifically rude and should have never been in any kind of business that involves kids. I signed up for their ski program through my children's school and they are forcing me not to get season pass, but instead buy individual tickets because they are going to make few more bucks on my child. My contract states I... More
