Only made it to a handful so we will have to come back! Area well known for whites but we did find som good dry reds. Area limits pours to keep you honest. Recommend hiring a designated driver. Enjoy!!

Seneca Lake Wine Trail continues to get better each of the last seven years I have enjoyed. I spent three days enjoying 12 wineries and am amazed by the continuing evolvement of their dry reds. I try to visit at least one new winery each...More

Many, many different wineries are featured on both sides of Seneca Lake. Dry & sweet wines, and everything in-between for every taste. There are also a few breweries sprinkled in for those who are beer lovers. I recommend taking a wine tour, trying out samples...More

You’ll have a great time touring the outskirts of the lake for views, and photo stops. There are some really good wines here but there are also some really bad ones too- do your homework first. Some of the wineries on the official trail (in...More

It's an annual trip for us. Every year, Wednesday through Sunday. Visiting wineries, breweries and more. Enjoy every stop. Not one person less than hospitable and friendly, always a smile and lots of info. Some prices went up for tastings, but thats to be expected....More

Love the Seneca Wine Trail. We visited lots of wineries and had a great time. My one complaint - I remember when wine tasting was free, then they started charging and giving you a coupon towards a bottle of wine. We tasted at wineries charging...More

We drove around the lake and sampled wine and beer. The wineries in this region specialize in Riesling wines which is my favorite and I collected a wonderful collection of bottles to bring home and enjoy.

My way to do this trail is homework first, that is, Google the wineries and check the ratings in Wine Spectator, etc. Otherwise its hit and miss. I'm not a big fan of Riesling, however I have to admit that its great in the Finger...More

Nice views along the drive, especially when you can see the lake. Watch for the speed limit signs. Limits can change abruptly from 55 to 35, and the police are watching.

No, just show up. Small groups are fine. Van groups such as wedding or bachelorette parties I would suggest make a reservation as a courtesy so they can plan for the group.
