This tour showed less of the production side than most wine tours we went on in the Bordeaux area, so it was interesting but not remarkable except to see the caves, left from limestone quarrying. This is why wine cellars are called "caves" in French!

Most enjoyable wine tasting tour ever of many many all over the world. You will be taken down into the limestone caves where your guide will move you slowly from room to room, darken the room, and allow pre-recorded stories and characters to appear. You will learn so much about the limestone caves, their ability to grow phenomenal grapes, and... More

We've just checked out having stayed 3 nights at this wonderful B&B. It's located just outside St Emilion but it's a lovely 20 minute walk away through the vineyards. Views from the garden and pool are simply breathtaking. On our final night we ordered a few cold platters and wine and sat out in the garden - it doesn't get... More

We did a tour and tasting here with our Uniworld river cruise group. The gal who did the tour was really nice and we got to go underground to see the old mine which is also where they store barrels of wine that is fermenting. It was really neat to see and learn about the mine and to tour the... More

Coming form Australia where we have access to some great wines, I was interested if the wines from Franc Mayne could measure up. While they were good wines the prices we so huge, I wondered why the great Australian wines are not more expensive. Certainly it was worth a taste of the wines on offer, but the better attraction for... More

Let's start with the wine. They don't produce a lot of wine, but what they do make is wonderful. The limestone caves date back to when they were mining the limestone to build the church. A great tour of the underground caves and history.

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a shopping trip to Saint Emillion, and are so glad we did. The property itself is a working vineyard with all rooms exquisitely decorated in different themes. The location, on the slopes of the Saint-Emillion plateau, provides fantastic views, and the town is only a 1km walk through the vineyards. Take your... More

We booked this and paid €15. Overall quite disappointed and didn't really feel it provided value for money. The caves were interesting but the sound and light shows weren't that informative. We only got to taste two wines which was again disappointing.

Excellent tour of their wine making facilities and the historical caves located on their property. Our guide, Jacques, was very friendly, we enjoyed meeting him very much. Wine tasting is in a charming little building with several excellent Grand Cru St. Emilion and a Pomerol.
