Went there purely because of the name and their catchphrase...no pretentions,no b...s....t. Very refreshing to be able to taste wine in a very quirky place with a very nice owner only too happy to spend time explaining things and have a chat. No wine snobs...More
Would go again. We were a large family group with 5 young children; 2 years and under and the manager was wonderful. The wine tastings were very generous and lovely and it was a very relaxed environment with children.

My partner and I go to Mongrel Creek to top up on our sparkling wine whenever we are down south. The guy that runs Mongrel Creek is brilliant for a chat and has some excellent stories!

Yes. Quirkiest is right. What a terrific spot and the opposite of all those big company vineyards. The cellar door is in an old rustic building with all sorts of old farm equipment around.
