Stopped off at the Parker Point bus stop (number 5) which was to one end of Porpoise Bay. Nice Bay with yachts anchored nearby. After a short walk down the stairs you get down the pristine white sand beach. Nice Stop.

I made the effort to get out early and was alone as I stepped onto the beach at 6.30am. It was warm and the water was a beautiful colour. The sea was warm and calm as I walked along the waters edge and I couldn't help but totally relax. To my delight I could see about five Pelicans further up... More

Great place for a private swim especially in the evening! There are not much people around so you can just sit with a convenient stove and have a picnic on your own. Great place for a little privacy.

We caught a tour bus that drove us around the island and took in Porpoise bay as well as all the other bays, it was most definitely the way to see all the island without having to walk or cycle, as seniors and even for middle aged persons, I would recommend this form of travel around the island, especially if... When travelling, this was really quiet place. Easy to access with bike. Some snorkling and swimming is essential here!

Rottnest Island is a must stop and a one day trip from Perth is wonderful if that is all the time you have. If you have time, enjoy Porpoise Bay - curl up on the softest sand and enjoy a day with mobile turned off. Experience the bluest of water, whitest of sand and leave feeling as though you have... Porpoise bay is the first beach on the Bayseeker bus route. It's long, wild, unspoilt, backed by sand dunes. There is some seaweed, but it's beautiful anyway. And it's deserted, few people go there. Great for walking.
