Very full of a curious collection of items. IT takes a while to walk through. Kind of musty because of all the old times. Fun to explore the collection.

Visited the town of Belhaven for the day and stumbled upon this gem. Don't let the nondescript entrance fool you. You could easily spend an hour or more marvelling at the eclectic mix of treasures inside. Everything from a vintage dress from a 700lb woman to world war 2 memorabilia, there is plenty to make anyone with an interest in... More

You just have to go. Eva Blount Wey (sp?) was an amazing woman who donated an eclectic collection of oddities to Belhaven for all to see. Such as an electric drill that electrocuted a man way back when, German war artifacts that were found locally - yes, Germans were on shore in NC during WWII. It's a fun and amazing... More

Fun place to spend an afternoon, The lady that collected all this stuff was a hoarder for sure. Need to see when you are in town.

This is one woman's almost entire estate of ordinary household items and collectibles from the 1890's, mixed with other unusual items, such as a German machine gun, specimens in jars, antique furniture and dishware, thousands of buttons, newspaper articles and other eclectic items. The docent is very friendly and has extensive knowledge of the items and the local history. There... More

Small and fun. It comprises one lady's lifetime accumulation of all manner of what was once ordinary stuff. A unique museum of Americana.

This is a collection of items that include science, history, randomly bizarre and sometimes funny stuff. I enjoyed poking around. Some of the specimens are not suited for the squeamish, but I think teenagers would find it entertaining. Pretty cool place if you like history or if you've never seen fleas dressed up. This would be a fun way to... More

A dusty jumble that is not your typical museum and clearly not well supported by the town, but the local man in charge gave us an excellent personal explanation and pointed out various antiques from clothing to typewriters to cameras and LOTS of other "stuff"! If you are in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop in; it... More

Our family calls this the Button Museum. Oh, but it's so much more! If you love history, don't miss the chance to check out this unusual 'collection' started with donations from one woman's estate. Everything from old typewriters to specimens in jars to vintage clothing and old wooden anchors... each aisle is a new discovery. Oh, and buttons! We chatted... More
