A great location for local plays and presentations! Saw "Eleanor's Story" here and the accommodations were very quaint and professional.

The art gallery is always interesting but the Spring time "Art in Bloom" always stands out when floral artists make magic reproductions of artwork on display. This is accompanied by a Tour of Gardens on the weekend which is always fun.

It's possible to catch some genuinely good shows here, from local visual artists to local drama. I've even been there for a benefit/dance party. The staff has always been "on" with friendly efficiency and old fashioned hospitality.

Great art and dance programs for kids and adults. From oil painting to dance to pottery, this is a great place to visit.

We love the plays at the Center for the Arts. The actors are chosen carefully and do a great job for an amateur production. The venue is small so that you're practically a participant in the play.It is remarkable for a town this small to have an arts group so active and professional.

I've visited the art center several times (from France!) for both exhibitions and events (with dinner etc.) which were usually concentrated on the current exhibitions. They also have wonderful art courses and even on July 4th a great view of the fireworks. Really incredible for such a small town.

Black Mountain's first impression as a sleepy little mountain village belies a fairly impressive emphasis on the arts

BMCA is a hub for everything artistic in Black Mountain. The friendly, helpful staff delight in showcasing the gallery with its ever-changing exhibits. Dance, music, painting and pottery classes, live concerts and plays all entertain at this small arts dynamo. Located on State street, Rte. 70, this is a must-see for visitors and locals alike.

I have been volunteering at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts since 2013 and have loved the variety of activities that they offer year round. For a relatively small town it is wonderful that we have such a unique resource. If you are in the area, I wouldn't miss it.
