My family picnics at Julian Price Park several times a year during the summer. This is one of the best parks on the Parkway! The kids enjoy playing in the creek and while the adults relax in the shade. On crowded weekends, it's best to...More

There were 5 of us, ages 8 to 58. We all stuck our feet in the creek and some walked a ways through it and walked across a log over the creek. There are treasure hunt maps for the kids. Nice shady picnic spots. Then...More

This is a great park with wonderful hiking trails. Boone Fork Trail is a challenging hike with outstanding diversity & variation in scenery and terrain. We loved this 3 hour hiking loop.

Our walk around the lake was peaceful and beautiful. There were horses and ducks and swans and fish. It was a nice, level surface walk to take in the mountain scenery.

Yes. The lake is visible and accessible right off the blue ridge parkway. Easy to park and walk to the lake side nearby.
