The Moses Cone family summer retreat, currently being re-restored is a wonderful testament to the guided age. The beautiful, historic structure houses the most wonderful collection of Appalachian, original arts and crafts. They were not only exquisite but very fairly priced. The variety of crafts offers something for anyone of any age at every price point.

This park is a great spot to hike or just take a casual drive. We walked to the mansion, which was closed, so we enjoyed some time sitting on the porch, taking in the view.

This was my second time visiting and we plan on returning again soon. Many trails too choose from, with varying skill requirements, do as much or as little as you want. Locals seem to like it a lot too, so that tells me something. Minutes from Blowing Rock. One of my favorite places, I always get a pic or two... More

What a lovely place to visit. Views are a short walk from the parking lot. There are miles of trails. And the 23-room home next to the parking lot is filled with arts and crafts from members of the juried Southern Highlands Craft Guild. There are things in there for every price point. In the summer, they open the upstairs... More

Visited the mansion and enjoyed looking at all the crafts from the local artisans. Home is undergoing renovations.

The local tourist information spoke wonders and qualified this as a must see and we were disappointed. The house is, or better was, a magnificent property once, but nowadays the exterior is bleak, poorly painted and looks in great decay. The interior is nowadays only a gift shop which therefore is only good if you are interested in buying local... More

We played and hiked all day in this park. Beautiful lakes. 360 degree view of Boone and Blowing Rock from the Fire Tower trail. A great day of exploring.

We go to Moses Cone often to relax, de-tangle from our busy lives and minds. There are friendly people walking well-cleared paths with dogs on leads; horses are welcome which creates a cool energy. The shop is remarkable, far better than the usual gift shop. We have bought holiday and birthday gifts for family and friends: arts, crafts, all well... More

We've visited Moses Cone many times over our many trips to the Blowing Rock area. This is a must-stop place when we are visiting the area. Each year they have artisans exhibit their crafts and skills. There are also many hiking trails accessible from the park.

Beautiful stop on the parkway to do some walking and explore the estate lands. Craft center full of beautiful handcrafted Appalachia art and crafts.
