Oh my. First time in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So much green! So much blue! The views from this location are spectacular. The walking trails are easy. Worth the $7 adult entry. Don't bother with the coffee or tea; it was terrible. My favourite T-shirt in the shop? "Hike naked. It'll put color in your cheeks." :)

My husband and I stopped by after a long weekend in Blowing Rock to see the blowing rock. It does have pretty views, a collection of old pictures from the area and a couple of friendly resident cats. If you are limited on time or unable to make the numerous walks in the area to see the same views then... More

My 85 year old German mother said that Blowing Rock is very pristine. She liked the refined flower garden and the 2 cats on the path. My husband said it's a tourist trap and didn't believe the associated legend. We prefer national parks. We are suspicious of private venues like this that promote higher costs than national parks. Junk food... More

Beautiful view of the mountain sides. Walking paths around the top of the rock. Not much else to see. It is alone and done place.

I found it a bit ridiculous how expensive it was for what it was after going in and realizing how long I was going to be there etc. There is not much to do there besides look at the rock and there isn't a whole lot of room to walk around. I thought based on the price there would be... More

The kids really enjoy coming to this park, first of all, they are fascinated by the rock formation, climbing, enjoying the views, the cats, ice cream, exploring, etc. The cost is fairly inexpensive and you can get additional discounts from local hotels, etc. It is a small park but, a relaxing space to enjoy an afternoon and let the kids... The Blowing Rock is interesting to see. However, it was expensive for what it is. We would not go again

Some of the best mountain views in North Carolina are from The Blowing Rock. Evening sunsets are absolutely stunning! A must see.

My wife and I came here knowing the hhaze the would block our view and it was still amazing. It felt like heaven up there with a cloud around us. When we first got there a cat named lena came out with us and actually and truley gave us a tour. Walking ahead of us stopping at certain points to... More

The Rock and area looks like many you will see for free along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Best part was super friendly long haired cat named Gunther. This place takes advantage of tourists by charging for a view that is free just a few feet down the road
