Enjoyed our stop here

I am not sure about the "blowing Rock" but the grounds were pretty and it was easy to get some cool pictures

This is a good stop. From the parking lot you enter a building and pay a nominal rate and then there is a very short easy walk to The Blowing Rock and then to an observation desk with nice views. We took photos of our group on the rock - (you'll need to wait your turn - after waiting for... More

The legend of the blowing rock is a fascinating story and the scenery at the actual rock is absolutely amazing. There is a visitor center and a souvenir shop with nice items. The views were amazing but the rest is a little disappointing. Still a nice place for a short visit

This attraction really does pack a lot in a small space. The short trails and views are amazing and the gift shop is very nice. It's great if you like being outdoors, but don't really like hiking!

Last weekend we drove up to Blowing Rock for a getaway and stayed at the Green Park Inn for two nights. It is one of the last great mountain inns in the area. The room was nice, comfortable and quiet. Staff very friendly. Located about 5 minutes from the downtown shopping area. Nice restaurant and shops. The Story Street Grill... More

ok, should you have to pay $20.00 a person to drive up a mountain, probably not. However upon paying for the experience my wife and I truly enjoyed it. Plus, they give you a cd that takes you on the journey and talks about everything along the way, a nice animal reserve and incredible bridge. Great picture taking and great... More

I think you must be prepared to a small place with breathtaking view, but it's a short visit and if you're driving there especially you might be disappointed. We loved the view and the story behind the place, but that's it. It's a nice, romantic place but not a must.

We drove up to The Blowing Rock, only to see an old building flanked by a high board fence. When we entered, we saw that the admission prices were more than we wanted to pay to see a rock. The gift shop had the typical Chinese junk. We live in NC, and can see gorgeous cliffs, waterfalls, etc. for free,... More

We spent a few hours this afternoon at Blowing Rock and really enjoyed the experience! There are several outlooks available to stop and take in the view. They also have maps available that describe what you are seeing from various points. Overall, lovely experience.

Never heard of Blowing Rock until we came to the area. So glad we stopped to take in the amazing mountain views. Worth the $7 admission. $6 for seniors and child prices are less. Interesting legend and amazing to witness the unusual wind patterns. Not a difficult walk, can do as much or as little as you want, so it... More
