Very nice ocean seaside area in Carolina Beach Park. The sand her is like silk. Not sure why it more fine than along the ocean outside the park, but is noticeably soft.

Loved this beach. Nice and quiet without all the hotels and businesses around. Picked up several nice shells and sharks teeth.

This state park is a nice, pet and family friendly place to take an easy hike. The trails are mostly shaded, easy to follow, and well maintained. The visitor center and the marina both have indoor restrooms. No matter the season, don't forget bug spray....More

There is no day use fee. However, there are specific open and closing hours and the gate is locked while the park is closed. Fires are allowed in designated areas only, such as the campground, no beach fires.
