We went on a rainy Tuesday when the art galleries wanted to visit turned out to be closed. We quite enjoyed ourselves and we are a couple of 60+ folks! There was a special exhibit of frogs and a display of artworks composed of things like postage stamps, coins, and keyboard keys.

For those with children of any age, this is "must do" when visiting Charlotte, and for Charlotte families, a membership is well worth the investment. It is a shame that the cost of a visit makes it inaccessible to many, but if you can get past the admission charge, you'll be delighted with the quantity and quality of the entire... More

We had a nice time at Discovery Place Science however, my children are older so some of the attractions didn't keep their attention for very long. It was also pretty pricey for a family of four just to walk around and look at science toys and exhibits, I could see if you just charged for the imax experience but not... More

I can't speak to the Discovery Place, but we went to the IMAX Dome theater (which is within the building) and it was great! You can see the room where they load the IMAX film. Cameron came out and answered questions for us and was super friendly and informative. We saw the Cousteau's Secret Ocean and enjoyed it very much.

Discovery Place Science Museum was a fun way to spend the afternoon. We were leaving Charlotte and decided to check it out after check out of our hotel. Even though they were between exhibits at the time, there was still a lot to do there, and it kept us all busy for a few hours. There are areas for all... More

Brought our grand daughter here. Great for kids of all ages, but lots of fun for adults too. I'm an engineer, so I like all the technical stuff. There is lots of it and I learned a few things! The most impressive thing about this place is that it is chock full with 100's of interactive displays and hands on... More

Took my daughter here without really knowing much about the place. We had an awesome time! You need at least 1/2 to an entire day. There is a food court here with outstanding food. You will need about $15 for each adult or teen and $10 for each kid. Parking is $12 or you can find a metered spot. Only... More

It is a wonderful place for adults and children, but especially for children it is a perfect way to introduce them to the wonders of science. There is plenty of parking in the lot across the road.

It has been a while, but our memories shared with our granddaughter will always bring a smile to us. She had the time of her life. We returned a couple years later and even though she was a little older than most she enjoyed it.
