This is a brand-new art museum in center city Charlotte, N.C. I found the museum to be interesting, but with significant limitations for serious lovers of modern art.

Modern & contemporary in a beautiful space. Items are not crowded together permitting individual examination.

This is a small museum and only takes an hour or so to see the whole collection (and read everything). But for a family collection, the Bechtler museum packs a punch. Be sure to see Warhol's "Marylyn Monroe," the Degas, and the sketches by Picasso. This museum does not compare to larger museums in the country, but for a private,... More

It was a nice place to visit. The displays were great. However it has fewer pieces than it appears, so we completed our visit extremely quickly. Don't plan to spend longer than 1 hour there.

The exhibits are based on the private collection of the Bechtler family. So, they are a bit eclectic. But, the museum has some wonderful examples of works from significant artists. Well worth the time and money.

A fun place to visit to see wonderful modern art pieces. You could spend a couple of hours here easily.

I give this mall museum an excellent rating. Although the building is small by museum standards, the space is packed with thought provoking artwork. We only had one hour, enough time to quickly examine every piece. And ponder or muse over other works. As I understand, this museum is a private collection. Thank you, collector, for allowing the public to... More

A must see for the modern art lover. Great to see the stewardship of the Bechtler family to modern Art.

Bechtler is an interesting museum, if you love modern art. The art is interesting, however, not my cup of tea. They did have some Andy Warhol and other painters, sculpturers that I know.

Small museum. They only had one room and a balcony open, with very little on display. They were creating another display, but still charged the full price. Stayed less than 10 mins.

PAid the fee to spend maybe 15 minutes seeing the entire collection on display- maybe 30 items on two floors! The largest floor was closed between exhibits but this is disgraceful - to charge as though the museum is visit-worthy!
