Take Charlotte's excellent light rail to 7th Street Station, or park in Imaginon's own parking lot, or at 7th Street Station and bring your stub in for validation. The fun begins outside where typewriter keys (OK, keyboard keys!) and a giant picture window invite children to climb and cavort. Inside a wonderfully intricate doll house, a stack of surprise-filled boxes,... More

whether it is the two theaters on the main floor, or up the top floor for older teenagers to do stop animation, this library has it all....it is age compartmentalized and certain ages are restricted...they have wonderful resources, parking under the facility and close to everything downtown, with light rail right outside the doors!

a great weekend of nearly free - take kids to ImaginOn, the park across the street & ride the train! We visited ImaginOn on Sat & they had a 'petting zoo' sort of thing for music instruments, with folks on hand to explain each instrument, how to use & play it & the kids could give them a try! They... More

I would very much recommend looking at their website before going bc you will see weekend special events, and some freebee things for kids and families. It is not your average library at all! They will have various areas where kids can listen to stories with headphones, as well as many interactive areas where kids can dress up, and role... More

I went into this museum by accident. It is near the Museum of the new south. I was so impressed that I came back. I loved it and wish I were a kid again.

I visited Imaginon to attend a reading and book signing by popular children's author Kate DiCamillo. I was impressed by the building, inside and out. I look forward to attending a theater production with my little one in the future.

My daughter came to hang out on the computers to play games and to pick up some books. She had a wonderful experience.
