Stop by the convention and visitors bureau and get a 4th ward map. Walk along the streets and read history and interesting facts while you are standing in front of the building. We found it very enjoyable. Would recommend.

I was a little disappointed in this tour of the area. Hubby and I went for a Sunday walk. Luckily, the day before, we stopped in a Charlotte Visitors Center and happened to pick up a map/description. Without that, we would have known nothing about...More

Such a lovely neighborhood. I did a golf cart tour (Queen City Rides) of this neighborhood and enjoyed every bit of it. There are lots of very well maintained Victorian houses in a quiet neighborhood. Love the flowers and the tress.

Was a beautiful area for a little walk around and coffee or a meal. Follow directions I posted. It was ages otherwise. Difficult to find.

We picked up a brochure at the visitor's center downtown and walked the short distance to this area. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed seeing the different styles of architecture and reading the short history of each house.

What a cute and charming area of Charlotte! Take some time to walk around the entire area and admire the houses. I loved the variety of buildings - some brick, some colorful. I spent an hour just wandering around looking at everything. Definitely a great...More

I took my special lady out for a night on the town. I found a great place to eat, drink and find a new friend. Everyone was having a ball and their excitement was catching. Can NOT wait for my nest visit.

This really isn’t a tourist destination. Who wants to see houses and condos? It’s a green spot in the uptown area.

I overheard a recent tour group making their way through Fourth Ward Park compliment the city on the abundant amount of green space in fourth ward. I feel the same way. I encourage folks to find one of the maps located near the fountains that...More

Hi..sorry for the late response. For some reason I never got this question. I actually parked on a side street and walked the entire area and did it by myself. It seemed safe to me. It was not blocked at the time I visited... More
