Visitor center is next to the farm...gift shop, pamphlets on anything, rest rooms, and soda machines....

With a friendly staff, plenty of maps and brochures and very clean restrooms, this is a great place to begin your adventure in Cherokee. Don't miss the rockers on the veranda out back facing the river...wonderful place to relax for a few minutes!

Good maps, best I saw of area. Some interesting items, like the local trout species. not very big though. Enjoyed conversation with one male native.

As long as it is still leaf time in the mtns. there will be some shops and restaurants open in or near Cherokee. Nearby is Sylva and DIllsboro with restaurants and neat shops all year long. Bryson city is near also with good... More
