This attraction is only a couple miles off of I-40. Directions are clearly marked by signs. Definitely worth checking out. There are no restrooms. There are picnic tables.

It is a wonderful place to visit and walk. When I was there the walking area was being improved. So every time I come home for... More

I'm glad I visited but it's one of those places that you would not go back to. The bridge itself was awesome, and the history I learned was great also.

I volunteer at a local facility and over time, I have driven by numerous signs pointing to the Bunker Hill Covered Bridge. Always curious but never felt I had the time till yesterday when I was running early. Decided to take the turn off of US 70 and satisfy my curiosity. Should have done this a long time ago. Not... I like to visit when I get the chance. I can't remember visiting in the winter though with snow being on the covered bridge but I do feel it would be worthwhile.

We decided to stop on our way home after seeing the sign on I-40. We did some research and it turns out this is one of 2 covered bridges still left in NC. It was a quick stop with some historical information and neat to see.

Nice place to visit. Take a picnic lunch (there are no grills), but the quiet, peaceful walk back to the bridge is worth the trip. Relaxing atmosphere. There is a small creek that my grandkids love to splash around in.

We've lived nearby for 15 years and only just found this spot. We were out for a Sunday drive with new cameras, looking for a place to work with them. By chance, the covered bridge appeared before us and we turned in. Being from the Northeast, I'm very familiar with old covered bridges but I was unaware there were any... More

We rode to the bridge only to find out the property is closed until April for repairs. Would have been better if that was on the signs.

This was fun stop on the way to Asheville from Raleigh. The bridge was restored in the 90s and is in great shape. It will take you about 30 minutes if you are traveling on I 40 to visit and be back on the road.
