This 1,200-acre park was once the estate of William Neal Reynolds, brother of tobacco businessman R.J. Reynolds. The Reynolds willed the Tanglewood property to the citizens of Forsyth County to share as a public recreational park. The combination of its streams, woodlands, and grassy pastures with the traditions of its architecture, horses, gardening, and wide range of recreational activities make Tanglewood an ideal countryside park to visit over and over again.

A beautiful place and a chance to play where a PGA major was played. Unfortunately the course was not in good shape. The greens were in poor shape and the many, many hunkers were hard as cement!! Beautiful raised tees and picturesque views and I broke 100!

$25 a year gets you unlimited entry. Great parks, pools, splash pad, bed and breakfast, walking trails, horses to ride, dog parks, etc. Some of the facilities cost more than the entry fee but all you receive for the cost of parking ($2 a day) make it well worth the stop.

I attended a beautiful wedding here. It is a place I would like to visit again with so many different things to offer. I recommend this for a family day trip!

The paved multi-use trail is great for walking. I love to add a bit to my walks by going off trail up to the Arboretum and walk around there too

This is a wonderful place to walk or just stop in to relax, it's a place that is quiet but yet there is lots you can do. Walk, ride bikes, golf, great play area for children.

The lights are great but the wait time to drive thru is a 1 or more. We went to the gift shop and roasted marshmallows.

We've rented a shelter for a large function, walked the trails, visited the dog walk and park, spent an afternoon at the arboretum and attended a large family reunion at the pool. This past winter we visited to see a truly professional light show. This also has a full hookup RV park, horseback riding and (from what I understand) a... More

Figure eight wooded trail that winds 2 miles through the woods and by stables and horses. Very nice paved path, plenty of parking. No fee if you turn left at the intersection before the gate. People are friendly. Dog Park too!
