We had never been to any of the wineries before so we didn't know what to expect. The Yadkin Winter Red festival is a really neat way to visit and try out their specific wines (and food pairings) that were offered. The winery is in an old victorian house (about 1870s) and very interesting. The wine offered was excellent!

The Doub home place is a quaint small-town setting for this winery. History permeates through the rooms with an outside backdrop of rural Yadkin. A great day trip for a couple needing a getaway. Appointments suggested for openings and events.

Love their wood-fired pizza events on Sundays once a month. I enjoy the live music they provide and the outdoor picnic style......bring your blanket or chairs and set up on the lawn. Pizza is delicious and they offer many unique combinations like Reuben style and Buffalo style (mmmmm delicious!) Needless to say, some of the best wine around. I personally... More

This place was a perfect end to the day. We stayed for pizza, wine, and music. We met a lovely couple enjoying the music, they shared their picnic with us--eventho we had pizza. The Cab Souv was perfect pairing with the pizza.

Flint Hill Vineyards has excellent wines - my favorite cabernet sauvignon of all cabs. The pizza nights and music is fun. I still miss the Century Kitchen Restaurant but do enjoy the occasional wine and food pairing dinners. Definitely worth going.

The house is worth the visit but the wine tasting makes it very special. Ordered a case of wine to be shipped home. The young woman handling the tasting knew a lot about the winery, the history of the home and was very pleasant. A must stop if you are in the area.

We loved every wine here. We were the only people there-it was pouring down rain and at first we did not think they were open. This is small winery, off the beaten path, but do make the effort and don't let the appearance sway you. Every wine here was just wonderful. I wish I could figure out a way to... More

We have been to Flint Hill Vineyards several times and we are never disappointed. Their cabernet sauvignon is very good as are their other wines. The owner/wine maker is fun and very knowledgeable and helpful. If you like big red wines give them a try. Their other less dry wines are also good but not our cup of wine.
